HOMEPASTORAL CARE

PASTORAL CARE

Sooner or later, we all find ourselves hurting. When that happens, our Pastoral Care Services are available to you for encouragement and support.

Pastor-On-Call

If you need to call a pastor because of an emergency, hospitalization, or just need to talk, please feel free to call the Pastor-On-Call pager 937-370-2828, leave your message or the number where you may be reached, and a pastor will contact you right away.

Counseling Services

Our pastors are available for personal counseling to members of the church and are able to refer to other counseling resources.  We also have contracted with the Kettering Counseling Care Center for confidential counseling at a reduced membership rate.  Call (937) 395-8149 for information or an appointment.

Health Ministries

We believe that people are physical, mental, as well as spiritual beings and what affects one aspect of our lives will affect all other aspects. Our Health Ministries team promotes health in our congregation by providing health screening, care and medication consultation, and home/nursing home/hospital visitation when necessary. If you have any need that pertains to health or you would like to be part of the team, give Kris Mangan a call at 937-885-7397 or Mel Miller at 937-847-2828

Hospital & Home Visitation

Our pastoral staff and volunteers make regular visits to those in the hospital. Home visits are made upon requests.

Heritage (Nursing Home Visitation)

Our Heritage volunteers regularly visit nursing homes for fellowship and chapel services. Relationships grow through a gentle touch of the hand, an attentive ear, and earnest prayer.

Good Neighbor House

This urban ministry, sponsored by all the Adventist churches of the Miami Valley, is offered to the indigent and working poor. Located in downtown Dayton, it includes a food pantry, clothing and furniture bank, and a health clinic providing medical, eye, and dental care. Those services are available to members in need.

Member Assistance

Our church gives temporary assistance to members in need of financial help. Contact a pastor when you think you may need this service.

In-touch Ministry

Members who suffer incapacitating illness and are confined to their homes can get regular encouragement by a check-in call from our In-Touch volunteers.

Tape Ministry

A tape of the weekly services can be mailed to shut-ins, out of town members and friends, and those members on extended travel.
